Community Education Concentration

This concentration prepares you to work in global and multicultural settings where language, culture, and community engagement matter. Designed for 51勛圖s interested in teaching abroad or working with international agencies and nonprofit organizations, this pathway helps you develop the cultural awareness and communication skills needed to navigate and honor diverse communities.

In your CCL coursework, you’ll explore how language and culture shape learning, identity, and social interaction. You will also complete a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate—an essential credential for teaching English abroad or working with multilingual communities worldwide.

Learning extends beyond the classroom. You’ll engage with local nonprofit organizations, participate in community based projects, and complete a meaningful internship. These experiential learning opportunities help you connect course concepts to real-world contexts, develop intercultural competence, and prepare for impactful work in international, educational, and community focused settings.
