51³Ô¹Ï this Program

The B.Ed. in Community, Culture, and Language prepares future certified elementary teachers and community-focused professionals to teach in K-8 schools and work in organizations locally and around the world. Grounded in Gonzaga University’s mission and Jesuit values, you’ll build strong intercultural skills, think critically, and develop a deep commitment to justice, inclusion, and human dignity through advocacy.

In this program, you’ll engage in experience driven learning—working in local K–12 classrooms alongside experienced teachers and gaining hands-on experience in community organizations. These real-world opportunities help you apply what you learn in class, practice teaching strategies, and build meaningful relationships with children, families, and community members. Faculty intentionally connect your field experiences to coursework, helping you grow into a confident, compassionate educational leader prepared to support diverse learners.
