GU Faculty and Staff Mobility Opportunities

We are excited to announce faculty mobility opportunities designed to enable you to travel and engage in teaching and research across the globe. These opportunities are a testament to our commitment to fostering academic excellence and global collaboration. Faculty mobility is a critical component of our mission to cultivate a vibrant academic community that thrives on diverse perspectives and experiences. By teaching and conducting research in different cultural and academic settings.

Opportunities (application deadline) 

  • Erasmus+ staff exchange: West University of Timisoara and University of Salento (pending)
  • University Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program )
  • Fulbright U.S. Scholar and Distinguished Scholar Awards for US citizens to teach and research around the world )
  • Create and teach a short-term, Faculty Led Study Abroad course via the Study Abroad Office (February 2027)
  • Create your own opportunities via Gonzaga's International Agreements and Partnerships procedures and guidelines (rolling deadline)
  • Global Engagement funding (when funding is available)
  • Mukogawa Women's University (Nishinomiya, Japan) Visiting Professor ()

Hosting International Scholars 

On-Campus Scholarly & Creative Work Opportunities

On-campus scholarly and creative work opportunities is expected, encouraged, and rewarded. Workshops, seminars, and other programs help faculty and staff build intercultural competence and incorporate diverse and global perspectives into their teaching, research, service, administrative responsibilities, and local-global community connections. Gonzaga supports this best practice by providing the following opportunities:

  • International Student Academic Advisory Board a group of faculty that have  training/teaching/research/general interest in teaching international 51³Ô¹Ïs in the US higher education system. Our goal is to continue to create services for faculty.
  • International Education Council Global Engagement Faculty Development Fund, provided by the International Education Council when funding is available.
