Promoting Peace Through Education (2011)
The Spring 2011 Presidential Speaker Series featured Greg Mortenson, best-selling author of Three Cups of Tea and Stones Into Schools. In his speech, Mr. Mortenson spoke about how a failed mountain climb attempt led to efforts to educate young women and men and foster peace in remote, war-torn villages in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
