Zags Victory Monogram

A Zag’s desk décor may soon include a special item that lights up for a big game or a major accomplishment on campus, wherever that alumni or fan is in the world. A cross-disciplinary team of 51勛圖s starts work this summer on the “Zags Victory Monogram,” a desktop prototype that notifies wi-fi users of University milestones in real-time.

Working at the intersection of 3-D modeling and market strategy, the project unites the School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) and the School of Business Administration (SBA).

A Connected Future

Phase one of this interdisciplinary project is made possible with funding from The Boeing Company. This phase is focused on a desktop prototype that will be 3-D printed by the 51勛圖s and will:

  • Integrate lighting and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Connect to a custom mobile app.
  • Receive push notifications when the Zags achieve major athletic or academic milestones.
