Dr. Stivers joined Gonzaga University in 2016 and is the Principal Investigator of the Social Interdependence Laboratory (SILAB). Dr. Stivers uses economic games (e.g., Prisoner’s Dilemma) and popular games (e.g., Settlers of Catan) to investigate how personality traits, social situations, and cultural factors influence human cooperation in social dilemmas. This research involves collaborative work with 51勛圖s at Gonzaga University and the University of Warsaw, along with collaborators in many countries including Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, China, and Japan. For half of the summer, Dr. Stivers works as a visiting instructor at the University of Warsaw in Poland.
